MEMORIAL A.M.E. ZION CHURCH
Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, as a community service, makes space available to
groups and individuals if their activities and purposes agree with those of the church.
The rental of the Sanctuary is $400. All monies are to be prepaid to the Church Executive Assistant at least one month prior to the event. A $100 deposit is due at the application is submitted. The deposit is to secure the requested date.
A separate $100 fee is to be paid directly to the staff person who is on duty during your event. This person will make sure that the church is open, accept deliveries for your event, etc.
The Sanctuary must be left clean and in order. All decorations, etc. must be removed at the end of the function. Absolutely, NO rice is to be thrown inside or outside of the church
Pastor Derrill A. Blue does not require a fee to perform the marriage ceremony of a member of the church. For non-members an honorarium of at least $100 is requested.
If the wedding ceremony is to be performed by Pastor Blue, the prospective bride and groom are required to schedule at least two counseling sessions with him.
There will be no changes in the ceremony once the rehearsal has been completed.
Only appropriate music will be allowed. Secular music can be used but it must be of a clean nature (no swearing, no strong sexual content, etc.).
